Qualifications and Desired Background:
- Current, active RN license
- Demonstrated experience in a stepdown or progressive care unit
- Skills in continuous monitoring, medication administration, and rapid patient assessment
- Strong ability to recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and collaboration abilities
- Previous contract or hospital experience preferred
Schedule:
- Full-time contract assignment (details provided during interview process)
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor hemodynamic status and report significant changes promptly
- Administer medications and IV therapies per protocol
- Collaborate with providers to adjust care plans as patients transition from higher-acuity settings
- Educate patients and families on recovery milestones and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation in medical records
- Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance guidelines at all times
- Respond confidently to emergent situations using established protocols
