Advance your nursing career with a travel RN position in a busy, Magnet-certified Cardiac Stepdown unit at a large academic medical center. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment focused on providing outstanding patient care in a nationally recognized setting.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active and unrestricted RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent stepdown or cardiac stepdown experience
  • BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Strong cardiac monitoring, assessment, and critical thinking skills
  • Previous experience in high-acuity, fast-paced hospital units strongly preferred
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new protocols and electronic charting systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient advocacy abilities
  • Travel nursing experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe and comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac and high-acuity needs in a stepdown setting
  • Monitor patients closely, respond promptly to changes in condition, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
  • Administer medications, manage complex IV drips, and perform frequent patient assessments
  • Educate patients and families regarding cardiac care, recovery processes, and discharge planning
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold hospital policies, Magnet standards, and quality initiatives
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Maintain a patient-focused approach, demonstrating compassion and professionalism at all times
