Deliver exceptional, compassionate nursing care as a Registered Nurse in a Stepdown unit. In this contract position, you will use your expertise to assist patients and families through complex health challenges, focusing on safety, technical skill, and relationship-centered care. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and continually grow your professional practice, all while influencing positive outcomes in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position (duration determined by facility)
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN license (unencumbered)
- Previous experience with stepdown/telemetry or higher-acuity patients preferred
- Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to float among inpatient units, including SDU, MCU, West Medical, West Surgical, ED, and affiliated locations as needed
- Demonstrated ability to deliver patient-centered care and drive positive clinical outcomes

- Provide safe, age-appropriate nursing care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
- Deliver technical nursing interventions to support optimal health status and recovery
- Foster effective relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
- Adapt to different inpatient areas as required to maintain high-quality care across the facility
- Model professional development and leadership in all care interactions
- Maintain documentation in accordance with facility policies and standards
