This role is an excellent way to sharpen your resume by collaborating with leaders who value innovative care and teamwork. Take advantage of exposure to varied clinical practices, chart using EPIC EMR, and gain hands-on experience with specialized equipment in the Stepdown Care Unit (SCU/IMC).
Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts: 6a–6p or 6p–6a
- 36 hours guaranteed per week
- Every other weekend (minimum)
- No call requirements
- Occasional float to Medical/Surgical unit
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 5 years of relevant nursing experience
- Proficiency with ventilators and vasoactive drips
- Experience with ventilators, ceiling lifts, plumb pumps, feeding tubes, chest tubes, SCD boots
- Strong team player with proactive communication and high standards
- Navy blue scrubs required
Preferred Experience:
- Background in ICU, Stepdown, or Intermediate Care
- Adaptability and composure in a fast-paced setting
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive care for diverse SCU/IMC/MS/Swing patients
- Manage 1:1 to 4:1 patient ratios effectively
- Employ critical care skills and evidence-based practices
- Maintain clear, compassionate communication with patients and colleagues
- Occasionally float to the Med/Surg floor as needed
