Travel Stepdown RN - Decatur, Georgia

An exceptional opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with stepdown/progressive care expertise to join a float pool serving a diverse cardiac population. This contract assignment supports multiple PCU/IMCU units, where you’ll play an essential role in delivering advanced cardiac care to patients facing conditions such as STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and chest pain. Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:3-4, ensuring you have the resources to provide attentive, high-quality care.

Schedule:

• Contract position
• Assignments will rotate to all stepdown/intermediate care cardiac units as needed

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum of two years of experience in a comparable acute care facility
• Confident in managing cardiac drips, including Milrinone, Dobutamine, Pressors
• Proficient with EPIC EMR
• Experience caring for cardiac and telemetry patients
• Able and willing to float among all PCU/IMCU floors, with flexibility to work telemetry assignments as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care to a dynamic group of cardiac stepdown and telemetry patients
• Safely titrate cardiac drips and monitor for changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize cardiac care and recovery
• Accurately document care and communicate patient needs using EPIC EMR
• Maintain a professional demeanor and readily adapt to changes in care assignments or acuity levels
