Available contract options include 36- or 48-hour workweeks. You’ll be placed in a medical stepdown unit featuring 16–20 beds, maintaining a manageable nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. This unit cares for patients with complex needs—including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, substance abuse disorders, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Previous experience in medical stepdown or progressive care unit strongly preferred
• Proficiency in caring for patients with acute and chronic conditions

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver acute and progressive care under evidence-based protocols
• Monitor, assess, and document patient progress
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and ancillary teams
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge processes
