Travel Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) in Elkhorn, NE

Schedule/Hours:

• 13-week assignment
• 36 hours/week
• Variety of 12-hour shifts: day and night options
• Every other weekend
• Self-scheduling for flexibility

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• ONS/ONCC chemo certification required
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to float within PCU/Med-Surg
• Ability to perform hourly rounding and patient-centered care
• Compliance with fingernail/personal appearance policy
• Genuine compassion and commitment to patient dignity

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized nursing care to adult oncology and trauma patients in a 27-bed PCU/Med-Surg unit
• Titrate drips (cardizem, insulin), manage chemotherapy and other common medications
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including therapists, social work, case management, and educators
• Utilize EPIC for charting and Alaris IV pumps, with access to advanced lifting equipment
• Orient for 2 days, participate in required open-book skills assessment
