Stepdown Registered Nurse | Elmira, New York

Schedule:

• 3x12 hour night shifts

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Active RN license (required)
• Experience in stepdown and telemetry units
• Current ACLS certification
• Comfortable with patient transfers, pushing, pulling, and lifting as needed
• Strong assessment and medication administration skills
• Experience developing and implementing care plans
• Superior communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive care for patients in a stepdown environment, maintaining a 3:1 patient ratio
• Handle higher ratio settings on night shift with up to 6:1, and 5:1 for day shift as needed
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and accurately administer medications per protocols
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to execute and update individualized care plans
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions
