Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Stepdown, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or Telemetry nursing
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and management of post-cardiac surgery patients
- Proficient in assessing, planning, and providing comprehensive patient care
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and standard documentation practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond quickly to changing patient conditions
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Schedule:
- Flexible contract assignment with full-time hours
- Rotating shifts (days/nights) and some weekends may be required
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor cardiac stepdown patients for changes in condition, intervening promptly as necessary
- Administer medications, treatments, and specialized cardiac therapies as ordered
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create tailored care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding diagnosis and recovery
- Accurately document patient care and progress in the medical record
- Uphold high standards of infection control and patient safety
