Travel Stepdown Registered Nurse - Forest City, North Carolina

Stepping into this 32-bed stepdown unit, you’ll care for a diverse patient population and be exposed to a range of diagnoses, enhancing your clinical expertise. You'll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and learn from a variety of leadership styles and healthcare practices, ensuring your resume stands out with broad, well-rounded experience.

Schedule/Hours:

• Rotating weekends: every other weekend required
• Possible low census call; call-back up to 3 am (nights) or 3 pm (days)
• Expectation to work 75% of holidays
• Schedule cycle every 6 weeks

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN license with at least 18 months’ recent PCU RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Proficient in: tracheostomy management, cardiac drips, rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood product transfusion, wound care, central line management
• Comfortable floating within the local region and adapting to varying facility needs
• EMR experience with Epic preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients with conditions like CHF, dysrhythmia, chest pain, stroke, respiratory and abdominal illnesses
• Collaborate closely with CNAs, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary medical teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and promote patient safety using advanced technology and monitoring systems
• Respond adaptively to patient acuity, supporting a patient ratio of 1:4 – 1:5
