Travel Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) - Forest City, NC

This role places you in a busy stepdown unit within a highly respected facility, giving you exposure to a diverse mix of patient cases including CHF, dysrhythmias, chest pain assessments, strokes, abdominal infections, respiratory illnesses, diabetes issues, and more. You'll work closely with clinical leaders, benefit from highly collaborative teams, and further sharpen your expertise in complex nursing techniques, cardiac rhythm interpretation, advanced wound care, and more. Schedule/Hours:

• Rotating weekends: every other weekend
• No on-call requirement
• 75% holiday coverage expected
• RTO up to 6 days (holidays excluded; additional time may be required at contract end)
• Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with at least 18 months of recent PCU/Stepdown experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong clinical skills in trach care, cardiac drips, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, wound management, blood products, and central line care
• Comfortable floating between facilities within the region as required
• Experience with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Phillips monitors a plus

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a 32-bed, Level 3 trauma unit
• Manage patient ratios of typically 1:4, occasionally up to 1:5
• Work with a multidisciplinary team including 24/7 support from RT, hospitalists, intensivists, and tele monitoring
• Engage in continuous departmental and new employee orientation
