Travel Stepdown Nurse (RN) - Forest City, NC

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a stepdown or progressive care setting
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills
• Ability to manage chest tubes, titrate drips, and respond rapidly to changing patient conditions
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage patients with complex medical needs, providing vigilant care between the ICU and general nursing units
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Administer prescribed medications, manage IV drips, and perform wound care as needed
• Document patient conditions, interventions, and observed changes accurately and promptly
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other multidisciplinary team members to deliver optimal outcomes
• Educate patients and family members on recovery processes, medications, and post-discharge instructions
• Respond quickly to patient emergencies, maintaining high standards of patient safety
