An exciting opportunity awaits experienced nurses with a strong background in stepdown care. You’ll be immersed in a fast-paced hospital environment, delivering high-quality patient care in collaboration with a skilled medical team on the 4 North Unit.

Schedule & Hours:

  • Night shifts (12 hours)
  • 36 hours per week, typically 3x12s
  • Assignment duration: 13–16 weeks
  • Every other weekend required
  • Must be available for 3 holidays (combination of major/minor: 11/27, 11/28, 12/24, 12/25, 12/31, 1/1)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent RN Stepdown experience
  • Prior travel nursing experience is a must
  • Proficiency with Cerner EMR required
  • Holds an active, unrestricted AL or multistate compact RN license (cannot accept pending applications)
  • Flexible to work assigned holiday shifts; blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed
  • Motivated to deliver exceptional care in a dynamic clinical setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess patients transitioning from critical care
  • Administer medications, interpret clinical data, and respond to emergencies
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve the highest standards of patient care
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery expectations
  • Document accurately using Cerner EMR system to ensure seamless communication and compliance
