Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or compact state
• Previous experience in a Stepdown/PCU setting strongly preferred
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Strong assessment, clinical, and communication skills
• Capacity to adapt in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care for adults in a transplant PCU, monitoring changes and responding to complex medical needs
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other members of the care team
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and provide post-operative support
• Educate patients and families on ongoing care and discharge plans
• Accurately maintain electronic health records and participate in continuous quality improvement
