This travel role allows Registered Nurses with expertise in Stepdown and Progressive Care (PCU) to broaden their clinical perspectives by working alongside multidisciplinary teams that employ innovative patient care approaches. Qualifications:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment, monitoring, and critical thinking skills
- Adaptable to fast-changing patient conditions and treatments
- Effective communicator and collaborative team member
Responsibilities:
- Provide continuous, high-quality care for patients transitioning from critical or intensive care
- Monitor and interpret complex cardiac and hemodynamic data
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and respond swiftly to changes in patient status
- Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams for excellent patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on recovery processes, medications, and discharge plans
- Document care accurately according to facility protocols
