A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in Stepdown and Telemetry care. This contract position is ideal for professionals comfortable with high-acuity patients and seeking to further their clinical expertise.
Schedule:
- 3x12-hour night shifts each week
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a Stepdown, Telemetry, or Progressive Care unit
- ACLS certification required
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, and lifting
- Excellent communication abilities with a team-centered attitude
Responsibilities:
- Provide patient-centered care for those needing close observation and advanced monitoring
- Maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios: 3:1 on Stepdown, 5:1 during day shifts, and 6:1 during night shifts
- Perform thorough assessments and execute individualized care plans
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to deliver optimal patient outcomes
- Document all care provided accurately and timely
