Travel Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) - Kansas City, KS

Position Highlights:

• Schedule: 12hr Night Shifts (19:00-07:30), 3 shifts per week
• Weekend: Every other weekend required
• On-Call: None
• Floating: May be assigned to ICU, Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and ED (based on previous experience)
• Start Dates: 4/27 or 5/11

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years recent experience in Critical Care/ICU
• Proficiency in CRRT, Bipap management, chest tubes, PICC lines, and independent lab draws
• Confident in running codes, conducting own consults, and initiating care without vascular access team support
• Kansas RN or Compact RN License required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Previous EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Not accepting new graduates

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver advanced patient care on a stepdown unit with high acuity
• Participate in patient assessment, monitoring, and documentation
• Float across units as needed, ensuring cohesive and high-quality care
• Attend comprehensive orientation including on-site and virtual Epic training
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and demonstrate leadership in emergent situations
