PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) | Kansas City, Kansas

Schedule/Hours:

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Stepdown or PCU nursing
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Exceptional critical thinking and assessment skills
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Experience with electronic health records and nursing documentation

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, direct patient care in the Stepdown/PCU unit, closely monitoring patient conditions and responding promptly to changes
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by the medical team
• Conduct frequent assessments and document patient progress
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and allied health professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on disease management, post-discharge care, and treatment plans
• Uphold strict safety and infection control standards in all daily procedures

$1,895 - $2,074/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
