Develop your career by caring for complex patient populations in a dynamic progressive care unit (PCU). You will work with an accomplished multidisciplinary team, use advanced technology such as EPIC EMR and Phillips monitors, and gain adaptable expertise through regional floating—further expanding your resume with essential skills highly valued nationwide.
Schedule/Hours:
- Rotating weekends (every other weekend)
- Potential for low census call
- Required to work 75% of holidays
- Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
- Up to 6 days RTO (excluding holidays, conditions apply)
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 18 months of recent PCU RN experience
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Experience with tracheostomies, cardiac gtts, rhythm interpretation
- Experience with chest tubes, central line management, blood product administration, wound care
- Competent with telemetry monitoring and use of EMR (EPIC)
- Openness to floating between regional facilities (paid for travel time if floated mid-shift)
- Willingness to support patients with a range of acute conditions including CHF, chest pain, stroke, diabetic complications, and more
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality stepdown care to a diverse patient population
- Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, RTs, and hospitalists for optimal patient outcomes
- Perform advanced nursing skills and manage complex patient needs
- Adapt to different clinical environments and floating assignments as needed
