This specialized opportunity places you in a progressive care unit (PCU) with an emphasis on oncology and trauma care—offering a front-row seat to advanced clinical practices and interdisciplinary teamwork. Schedule/Hours:

• 13-week contract, 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts: multiple start times available (including days, evenings, nights)
• Every other weekend required, with self-scheduling options

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN license and driver’s license (to confirm travel radius)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification (required)
• 1+ year of recent PCU or oncology nursing experience
• Successful completion of onboarding skills exam (90% required; open book)
• Willingness to float between PCU and MedSurg units
• Strong sense of teamwork and cultural sensitivity
• Compliance with strict patient care standards (e.g., no artificial nails)

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage care for adult patients with a focus on oncology and trauma
• Titrate insulin and cardizem drips as required
• Utilize ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and electronic medical records (Epic)
• Collaborate with ancillary support (PT/OT, case managers, social work, educators, etc.)
• Uphold patient experience through hourly rounding and holistic, respectful care
