Schedule/Hours:
- 36 hours/week (13-week contract)
- 12-hour shifts (various: days/nights, flexible start times)
- Every other weekend required
- Self-scheduling
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active RN, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- One year of PCU and oncology or trauma stepdown experience
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy certification (CHEMO CERT REQUIRED)
- Experience titrating drips (e.g., insulin, cardizem) preferred
- Strong team-player with positive attitude and cultural sensitivity
- Comfortable with Epic EMR (orientation provided)
- Charge nurse experience (for applicable roles), 1+ year
- Willingness to float to similar units as needed
- Must be outside 50-mile commuting radius
- Valid driver’s license at interview
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care in a 27–28 bed mixed unit (PCU/Oncology/MedSurg)
- Manage and monitor chemotherapy and trauma patients across diverse backgrounds
- Perform safe medication administration, including chemotherapy and titratable drips
- Cross-train and assist with real-time monitoring and specialty equipment
- Adhere to hospital protocols, including strict hygiene standards
- Collaborate with nursing assistants, case managers, therapy, and support teams
- Practice respectful, inclusive patient care regardless of beliefs or backgrounds
