PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN) | Lawrenceville, Georgia

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation based on evidence-based practices
• Deliver culturally sensitive care that meets population-specific needs, collaborating closely with patients and families to align care with their goals
• Coordinate safe, quality care through effective interdisciplinary communication and timely documentation
• Participate actively in performance improvement, shared governance, and professional development initiatives
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to support workforce development
• Utilize clinical expertise to contribute to policy development and resource optimization

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Associate’s degree or diploma in nursing required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Valid RN license in Georgia (single state or multi-state compact)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, RN licensure
• Experience administering IV Heparin strongly preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong critical thinking and time management skills
• Proficient computer skills and excellent interpersonal communication
• Demonstrates composure and decisive action in emergency situations

Schedule:

• Night shift, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend coverage
• Includes 2 major and 2 minor holidays
