Looking for experienced Registered Nurses skilled in Stepdown and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing to deliver high-quality patient care. This contract role offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your advanced clinical skills while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit settings
- Proficient with monitoring and managing stable but complex patients
- Familiar with telemetry, patient assessments, and critical thinking in emergent situations
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Team-oriented mindset and adaptability to fast-paced environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to patients transitioning from intensive care or requiring close monitoring
- Perform comprehensive assessments, track patient progress, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions with timely interventions
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders, ensuring patient safety at all times
- Utilize clinical judgement to prioritize care and escalate when appropriate
- Educate patients and families on conditions, recovery, and discharge plans
- Maintain accurate, thorough documentation and comply with facility protocols

$1,895 - $2,074/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
