Role Overview: Deliver high-level care in a dynamic IMCU setting, caring for patients with complex conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, T2DM, substance abuse issues, and encephalopathy. As an essential member of the clinical team, you’ll develop valuable experience managing heparin drips and navigating the rapidly evolving needs of stepdown-level patients.

Schedule:

• Contract options: 36 or 48 hours per week

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• At least 2 years of recent stepdown or IMCU experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
• Proficiency with heparin drip protocols
• Experience caring for acute, multisystem patient populations

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess stepdown patients, ensuring timely interventions and collaborative care
• Administer medications, including heparin drips, in accordance with safety standards
• Communicate patient status changes to interdisciplinary teams
• Provide education and support to patients and their families
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
