Schedule/Hours:

• 36- or 48-hour itinerary available for flexibility

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in a 16-20 bed step-down unit
• Manage a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, ensuring patient safety and timely interventions for conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive crisis, respiratory compromise, COPD, chronic kidney disease, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
• Monitor patient progress, administer medications, and adjust care plans in collaboration with physicians, case managers, and allied staff
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Active RN license and current ACLS/BLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in step-down or progressive care environments
• Proficiency in caring for medically complex patients with a variety of acute and chronic diagnoses
• Sound clinical judgment, excellent teamwork, and strong communication skills
