Travel Stepdown Registered Nurse - Marietta, Georgia

Schedule:

• Flexible contract options: Choose from 36 or 48 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a 16–20 bed medical stepdown unit, maintaining a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for patients experiencing a range of acute conditions including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes (TDM2), substance abuse issues, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
• Closely monitor patient status, administer medications, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Respond effectively in emergency situations, utilizing advanced critical thinking and intervention skills
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and their families during both acute and recovery phases

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• 2 years of recent experience in stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
