Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with stepdown expertise for a contract opportunity. The ideal candidate delivers safe, efficient, age-appropriate nursing care, supporting patients and families through every stage of the health continuum. You will apply the nursing process, deliver relationship-based care, and demonstrate technical proficiency to achieve positive patient outcomes.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position
- Nurse/patient ratios: 1:5 or 1:6
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and NIH Stroke certification required
- Recent experience in stepdown nursing or a similar high-acuity environment
- Strong technical skills in direct patient care delivery
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
- Demonstrated leadership qualities enhancing clinical and operational outcomes
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care following established processes and protocols
- Collaborate effectively with the care team to optimize clinical operations and patient results
- Float between inpatient areas at multiple locations, including but not limited to stepdown and medical/surgical units, critical care, and Emergency Department settings, providing seamless coverage and continuity of care
- Manage nurse/patient assignments according to established ratios, supporting safe, effective care
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and efficiently
- Contribute to ongoing professional development and support colleagues’ growth within the nursing practice
