Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in good standing
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a stepdown or progressive care unit
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and excellent documentation skills
  • Strong critical thinking abilities and a collaborative approach to patient care
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess acutely ill patients recovering from critical care, responding swiftly to any changes in status
  • Administer medications, manage IVs, and carry out physician orders promptly and safely
  • Provide detailed patient education and emotional support to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and responses according to policy and regulatory standards
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment for both patients and colleagues
