Stepping into this 36-bed Progressive Care Unit means working with a wide variety of patient populations and complex diagnoses including COPD, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, renal failure, and more. Exposure to advanced workplace technology such as EPIC, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Phillips monitors will sharpen your skill set. Collaborate closely with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team supported by 24/7 respiratory therapists, dedicated pharmacists, and case managers. You'll access a distinct array of resources—including virtual nursing services and specialized support staff—helping you build relationships and learn from varied clinical leadership styles.
Schedule/Hours:
- Flexible scheduling with floating within regional facilities as needed
- Orientation: Comprehensive onboarding including facility-wide and unit-specific training

Preferred Qualifications:
- Active RN license with at least 18 months of PCU experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency with cardiac rhythms, temporary pacemakers, wound care, titratable IV drips, and trach/vented patients
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to stepdown-level patients across a diverse medical-surgical caseload
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and initiate protocols for chest pain and stroke
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and utilize advanced EMR systems
- Float between regional facilities as needed within scope of practice
