Travel Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) - Niles, OH

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-week assignment
• Ratios typically 1:4-5 (days), 1:5 (nights) *subject to change

Qualifications/Experience:

• Active RN license (or eligible for compact licensure)
• Minimum 2 years of recent stepdown/IMCU experience
• Documented travel nursing background
• Ventilator management on IMC level required (you’ll receive unit-specific education prior to assignment)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification required
• Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide provided)
• Proficiency with drips (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Lasix, bumex); Cardizem is titratable

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications safely and monitor patient response
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and serve as a patient advocate
• Manage care for mixed acuity patients—cardiac (NSTEMI, stress tests, TEE’s), neuro, general (GI bleeds, renal issues), and respiratory (COPD, CHF, COVID)
• Educate patients and families, ensuring effective communication across care transitions
• Utilize and document in EPIC EHR (preferred)
