Schedule:

• 13-week assignment
• 12-hour night shifts

Role highlights:

• Float to an intermediate stepdown (PCU/Neuro) unit (40 beds)
• Care primarily for adult and geriatric populations
• Typical ratios: 1:5 on nights (subject to adjustment based on staffing)
• Neuro and stroke experience preferred; must be able to pass a dysrhythmia exam (study guide provided)
• Handle cardiac drips (intermediate care)
• No pediatric assignments, though the unit includes two pediatric beds

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN license (state or compact)
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required before start
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience, with at least 6 months in acute care preferred
• Epic EHR proficiency and critical care course preferred
• Ability to adapt to high-acuity, fast-paced environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments and develop dynamic care plans
• Administer medications and manage complex clinical situations
• Act as a patient safety advocate, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide patient and family education and support throughout treatment
