Stepdown Registered Nurse - Norfolk, Virginia

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active and unencumbered RN license required
• Minimum of one year recent experience in a Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
• Solid understanding of cardiac monitoring and administering critical drips
• Exceptional assessment, critical thinking, and communication abilities
• Proficiency with EMR systems and strong documentation skills

Schedule/Hours:

• Contract position with variable shifts (may include nights, weekends, and holidays based on facility needs)

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients transitioning from ICU-level care, providing advanced support with quick response to changes in condition
• Administer medications, manage infusions, and interpret vital signs for progressive care patients
