Travel Stepdown Unit Registered Nurse (RN) in Olathe, KS

This travel nursing opportunity in a progressive stepdown unit exposes you to innovative patient care and various leadership methodologies. Rotating through ICU, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and the Emergency Department allows you to expand your clinical expertise, gain hands-on knowledge in multiple specialties, and strengthen your resume with advanced skills in fast-paced settings.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730), 3 shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Holiday coverage based on unit needs (including July 4th)
• Orientation includes both in-person and virtual sessions

Qualifications:

• Active KS RN or Compact RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification required
• Minimum two years of recent Critical Care/ICU experience
• Proven proficiency with CRRT, Bipap management, drawing labs, chest tubes, and PICCs
• Capable of managing codes and consults independently; no vascular access team support
• Flexibility to float to ICU, Med/Surge, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and ED (with prior experience)
• Not open to new graduates

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based care in the stepdown setting
• Float to different units as clinical needs demand
• Conduct independent bedside procedures and rapid response interventions
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC
