Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a background in Stepdown and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings to deliver exceptional patient care. In this contract position, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex and changing health statuses, utilizing advanced clinical skills and effective communication.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Active RN license required
  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a Stepdown or PCU environment
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Proven ability to monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation
  • Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive, ongoing assessments and deliver high-quality nursing care for patients in a fast-paced PCU/Stepdown unit
  • Administer medications, infusions, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and protocols
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Closely monitor patients, identifying and responding promptly to changes in status
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment, recovery, and discharge plans
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation within EMR systems to maintain clear records
  • Support and mentor less experienced nursing staff as appropriate

$1,895 - $2,074/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
