Travel Stepdown Nurse (RN) in Omaha, NE

Schedule/Hours:

• Night shifts: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend
• Every third holiday

Key Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience; at least 1 year of recent stepdown/unit background
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must hold a valid driver’s license for radius verification
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from facility and not be employed by any CommonSpirit-associated entities
• Ability to pass an open-book, orientation exam (minimum score 90%)
• Commitment to facility’s hygiene protocols (artificial nails prohibited)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Care for adult and geriatric populations with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, diabetes, and continuous EEG monitoring needs
• Titrate drips, including Cardizem, beta blockers, seizure medications
• Collaborate with charge RNs and patient care techs for optimal patient outcomes
• Float as needed between medical, ICU, and rehab units
• Maintain a positive attitude, offer support, demonstrate strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
