This 13-week travel contract offers unparalleled exposure to a fast-paced, diverse workplace. You’ll work alongside seasoned leaders, collaborate across multiple specialties, and gain insight into innovative care strategies within a major medical center. Your days will be balanced between caring for a varied patient population on a blended PCU, oncology, and med/surg unit, allowing you to expand your clinical expertise and stand out in future roles.
Schedule/Hours:
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts: 7a-7p, 7p-7a, plus variable shorter shifts
- Every other weekend
- Self-scheduling offered
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Oncology experience
- Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Willing to float to med/surg and PCU
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and a compassionate approach
- Must pass open-book skills exam with 90%+
Duties:
- Deliver patient-centered nursing care in PCU, oncology, and med/surg settings
- Titrate drips (insulin, cardizem) and administer chemotherapy
- Provide hemodynamic monitoring (training available)
- Utilize lifts and specialty equipment for safe patient handling
- Collaborate with nursing assistants, case managers, PT/OT, and other support staff
- Document in EPIC EMR system
- Maintain infection control, including compliance with nail policies
