In this travel nursing opportunity, you’ll gain invaluable experience in a primary medical center’s fast-paced PCU, Oncology, and MedSurg unit. Schedule/Hours:

  • 36 hours per week
  • Shifts: 12-hour variety (days, nights, mids)
  • Every other weekend
  • Self-scheduling available

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certification required
  • Chemo certification required
  • NIHSS preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of current PCU and Oncology experience required; charge nurse experience (min 1 year) preferred
  • Open to first-time travelers
  • PCU and MedSurg experience with willingness to float between units
  • Driver’s license required for compliance
  • Must not be employed, in any capacity, by any CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity affiliated facility within 50 miles

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional care for adult patients with oncology and trauma diagnoses in a 27-bed unit (PCU to MedSurg ratios: 1:4–1:5)
  • Perform and titrate drips, including insulin and cardizem, per protocol
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team (PT/OT, case management, social work, etc.)
  • Hourly rounding and culturally respectful patient care
  • Participate in hands-on orientation and pass an open-book assessment (minimum 90% to continue)
