Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Current RN license in good standing
- 1-2 years of recent Stepdown or PCU nursing experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
- Proficiency in interpreting cardiac rhythms and titrating intravenous medications
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Collaborative mindset and experience working closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Typical Responsibilities:
- Assess, monitor, and document changes in patient condition, performing frequent reassessments
- Administer medications, manage drips, and provide ventilator support as appropriate
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies or deteriorating patient conditions
- Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, procedures, and post-discharge care
- Utilize evidence-based nursing practices to improve patient outcomes
- Act as an advocate for patient safety and support overall quality standards
- Communicate effectively, ensuring a seamless transition during patient handoffs and within the care team
