Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Recent experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficient assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to respond swiftly to changes in patient condition
• Strong collaboration and leadership abilities in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor vital signs and promptly identify changes in patient status
• Administer medications and manage IVs per provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and fellow nurses to coordinate patient care plans
• Provide thorough patient education and support to families
• Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment adhering to infection control protocols
