As a key team member in Unit 4 North, you’ll provide exceptional patient care and collaborate in a professional, supportive setting. This contract opportunity is perfect for nurses passionate about delivering intermediate acuity care and making a true difference with each shift.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Night shifts
  • 36 hours per week (3x12-hour shifts)
  • 13–16 week contract
  • Every other weekend required
  • Coverage of three major/minor holidays (selection includes: 11/27, 11/28, 12/24, 12/25, 12/31, 1/1)

Qualifications:

  • Active Alabama or multistate compact RN license—no pending status
  • Minimum 2 years of recent RN-Stepdown experience
  • Demonstrated prior travel nursing experience
  • Proficiency in the Cerner electronic medical record platform
  • Ability to adapt to variable schedules during holiday periods
  • Professionalism and flexibility in shift coverage (blocked scheduling requests cannot be guaranteed)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality clinical care to adult Stepdown patients
  • Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, acting rapidly and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Use Cerner to document assessments, plans, and interventions efficiently
  • Foster a healing environment through clear communication and patient advocacy
  • Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and safety protocols specific to Stepdown care
