Stepdown Registered Nurse - Rio Rancho, New Mexico

A nursing opportunity is available in Rio Rancho, NM, for a contract position specializing in step-down patient care within a cardiovascular-focused unit. This role involves working night shifts in a busy 55-bed progressive care unit dedicated to cardiovascular patients. The position requires a commitment to providing high-quality nursing care in a setting that uses the EPIC documentation system.

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care in a progressive care unit with a focus on cardiovascular patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage patient conditions effectively
• Maintain accurate documentation using the EPIC system
• Adhere to unit protocols including patient-to-nurse ratios of 1:4
• Participate in float assignments as required
• Work a night schedule of 4 twelve-hour shifts (18:30 - 07:00)
• Support the team with weekend rotation duties as needed

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Registered Nurse license with BLS and ACLS certifications required; CPI certification preferred
• Cardiovascular experience is essential
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience; 2 years preferred
• Ability to work nights and take on float responsibilities
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced progressive care environment

Contract Details:

• Option to work either 36 or 48 hours per week
