We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in Stepdown and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing to provide exceptional patient care and support for a contract role. Key Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license, able to practice without restriction.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in Stepdown and/or Progressive Care Unit settings.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Proficient in cardiac monitoring and interpretation, titration of high-risk medications, and post-operative care.
  • Demonstrates excellent clinical judgment and the ability to manage fluctuating patient acuity.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based patient care within Stepdown/PCU units according to policies and protocols.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and perform necessary interventions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to formulate and adjust care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on recovery processes, medication administration, and discharge planning.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of patient status, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a patient advocate, ensuring comfort and upholding the highest level of patient safety.
