Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) in Rome, GA

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current, unrestricted RN license
• At least one year of recent experience in a Stepdown or PCU setting
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, vigilant care to patients requiring close monitoring as they stabilize from critical conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to execute tailored care plans
• Monitor patient status, recognize early signs of complications, and intervene accordingly
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform advanced nursing procedures as needed
• Educate patients and their families about treatment, recovery, and discharge planning
• Accurately document care, assessments, and patient progress in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards
