Schedule:

• Rotating weekends: Every other weekend required
• Holiday commitment: 75% participation in facility holidays
• Call: Possible low census call (may be called back up to 3am nights/3pm days)
• Days off: Up to 6 days of RTO (excluding holidays) with flexible scheduling cycles (every 6 weeks)

In this dynamic Progressive Care Unit (PCU), you’ll care for a wide range of adult medical patients, including those with cardiovascular, stroke, respiratory, and acute disease processes. The facility supports nurses with dedicated charge nurses, CNAs for daily care, and 24/7 specialists such as hospitalists, intensivists, and respiratory therapists. Technology includes EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Philips monitors, and Omnicell medication dispensing systems.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 18 months of PCU RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Skills in cardiac gtt, rhythm interpretation, tracheostomy care, central line management, chest tubes, blood products, and complex wound care
• Willingness to float within regional locations as needed; paid for mid-shift travel between facilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver attentive, evidence-based care to PCU patients
• Monitor and document patient conditions, respond to changes promptly
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary clinical teams
• Oversee LPNs and CNAs in patient care delivery
• Actively participate in departmental meetings, orientation, and ongoing education
