Schedule/Hours:
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
- Schedule cycle: Every 6 weeks
- Call: Possibility of low census call, with potential call back (Nights up to 3 a.m., Days up to 3 p.m.)
- Holidays: Expectation to work 75% of holidays
- Up to 6 days off (excluding holidays)
Qualifications:
- Active RN licensure
- Minimum 18 months of recent PCU/Stepdown RN experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency with tracheostomy care, cardiac drips, rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, wound care, central line management, and blood product administration
- Comfortable with floating as needed within regional facilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care for a variety of complex patient populations (e.g., CHF, dysrhythmia, stroke, diabetes, renal and hepatic issues)
- Accurately interpret cardiac rhythms and manage cardiac drips
- Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team including CNAs, charge nurses, hospitalists, intensivists, RTs, and phlebotomists
- Utilize Epic, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, and Phillips monitoring technology
- Engage in orientation and participate in departmental meetings as required
