PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN) | Stone Mountain, Georgia

Experienced registered nurses skilled in stepdown care are needed for an acute care setting. This contract opportunity is designed for skilled clinicians with a passion for patient recovery and a proven track record in managing complex cases.

Schedule/Hours:

• Shifts to be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Georgia or any compact state
• Minimum of one year of recent stepdown or similar acute care nursing experience
• Proficiency with telemetry, ventilator management, complex wound care, and administration of Norepinephrine and Dopamine drips
• Comfortable with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5
• Strong clinical assessment and multitasking skills
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility (no local travelers)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, ensuring timely response to changes in patient condition
• Manage ventilators and provide appropriate care to patients on mechanical respiratory support
• Perform complex wound care procedures and assessments
• Safely administer intravenous drips of critical medications, including Norepinephrine and Dopamine
• Accurately document all patient care and communicate effectively with the healthcare team to develop and update care plans
• Utilize best practices to ensure patient safety, comfort, and positive outcomes
