Travel Stepdown Registered Nurse | Stone Mountain, Georgia

A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in stepdown care, supporting a progressive care/stepdown unit float pool. The role requires adaptability, clinical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality cardiac patient care.

Schedule/Hours:

• Contract opportunity with varying shifts; minimal time off requested

Key Qualifications:

• Current RN license in good standing
• At least 2 years of RN experience in a similarly sized healthcare facility
• Demonstrated proficiency caring for progressive care, intermediate care, and cardiac patient populations
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Experience working with STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, C/P patients
• Skilled in the administration of cardiac drips, including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors
• Comfortable managing a patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Competent using EPIC electronic medical records
• Professional demeanor and a strong focus on safety and teamwork

Core Responsibilities:

• Float seamlessly between all PCU/IMCU units, including those with cardiac focus
• Provide comprehensive assessments and technical interventions for patients with acute cardiac conditions
• Manage cardiac drips and respond to critical changes in patient status
• Oversee care for both higher-acuity and telemetry patients as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely charting and documentation in EPIC
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal outcomes and quality of care
• Adhere to facility protocols and uphold patient safety at every step
