A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in stepdown care, supporting a progressive care/stepdown unit float pool. The role requires adaptability, clinical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality cardiac patient care.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract opportunity with varying shifts; minimal time off requested
Key Qualifications:
- Current RN license in good standing
- At least 2 years of RN experience in a similarly sized healthcare facility
- Demonstrated proficiency caring for progressive care, intermediate care, and cardiac patient populations
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Experience working with STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, C/P patients
- Skilled in the administration of cardiac drips, including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors
- Comfortable managing a patient ratio of 1:3-4
- Competent using EPIC electronic medical records
- Professional demeanor and a strong focus on safety and teamwork
Core Responsibilities:
- Float seamlessly between all PCU/IMCU units, including those with cardiac focus
- Provide comprehensive assessments and technical interventions for patients with acute cardiac conditions
- Manage cardiac drips and respond to critical changes in patient status
- Oversee care for both higher-acuity and telemetry patients as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely charting and documentation in EPIC
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal outcomes and quality of care
- Adhere to facility protocols and uphold patient safety at every step
