This opportunity places you in a well-equipped intermediate care unit, featuring 16-10 beds and a manageable 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. You'll gain vital experience working with a diverse patient population — including those with complex conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, T2DM, substance abuse concerns, encephalopathy, and managing heparin drips. Exposure to these varied cases sharpens your clinical skills while introducing you to new practices and leadership styles, adding valuable depth to your resume and propelling your career forward.

Schedule/Hours:

• Choice of 36 or 48 hours per week contracts
• Flexible start with ASAP onboarding

Essential Qualifications:

• Active RN license with at least 2 years of recent Stepdown/IMCU experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Comfortable managing complex medical cases, including monitoring heparin drips
• Adaptable, collaborative approach with excellent assessment and prioritization skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and care for patients with acute medical conditions in a fast-paced IMCU
• Administer medications and therapies, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and provide patient/family education
• Ensure safe transition of care through vigilant monitoring and accurate documentation
