This opportunity places you in a high-acuity Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) with 16-10 beds, offering a balanced 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. You'll manage complex cases, such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, T2DM, substance abuse, and encephalopathy, along with the administration of Heparin drips. Working in this fast-paced environment will greatly broaden your clinical skills and provide exposure to diverse patient populations and advanced workplace practices—an impressive addition to your resume.
Schedule/Hours:
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- ASAP start
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ Stepdown nursing experience
- Active RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Strong skills in critical thinking, assessment, and multi-tasking
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach
- Collaborative team orientation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive care to acute and chronic patients in IMCU
- Monitor and manage high-acuity conditions, including heparin drip administration
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members and families
- Coordinate, document, and evaluate patient care plans
- Serve as a patient advocate and maintain high safety standards
