Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position (travel assignment)
- Shifts and length of assignment to be discussed during interview
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN license (unencumbered and eligible for Ohio)
- Minimum of 1 year recent RN experience in a stepdown or progressive care setting (cardiac experience strongly preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
- Strong assessment skills and ability to respond to emergent situations
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- EMR proficiency (Epic experience a plus)
- Adaptability to quickly changing patient needs and unit demands
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to post-acute cardiac patients requiring close monitoring
- Perform ongoing assessments, medication administration, and interventions according to care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure smooth handoff communications
- Educate patients and families about procedures, care needs, and post-discharge instructions
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and privacy standards at all times
- Contribute to positive patient outcomes and uphold unit standards
