Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position (travel assignment)
  • Shifts and length of assignment to be discussed during interview

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active RN license (unencumbered and eligible for Ohio)
  • Minimum of 1 year recent RN experience in a stepdown or progressive care setting (cardiac experience strongly preferred)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
  • Strong assessment skills and ability to respond to emergent situations
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • EMR proficiency (Epic experience a plus)
  • Adaptability to quickly changing patient needs and unit demands

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to post-acute cardiac patients requiring close monitoring
  • Perform ongoing assessments, medication administration, and interventions according to care plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure smooth handoff communications
  • Educate patients and families about procedures, care needs, and post-discharge instructions
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and privacy standards at all times
  • Contribute to positive patient outcomes and uphold unit standards
