This travel nursing assignment in a specialized cardiac and thoracic Stepdown Unit is a prime opportunity to advance your resume. Key Responsibilities:

  • Care for post-cardiac and thoracic surgery patients in a Stepdown setting
  • Administer ongoing assessments and closely monitor patient conditions
  • Collaborate with interprofessional teams in developing and updating individualized care plans
  • Respond promptly to changes in patient status and initiate appropriate interventions
  • Safely manage cardiac and thoracic-related equipment and interpret telemetry data
  • Educate patients and families on recovery processes, medications, and discharge instructions
  • Accurately document care provided and communicate effectively with the healthcare team

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • At least 1-2 years of recent Stepdown (SDU/IMCU/PCU) nursing experience, preferably with cardiac and thoracic patients
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
  • Strong assessment, telemetry interpretation, and communication skills
  • Adaptable, with a collaborative attitude in fast-paced environments

$2,057 - $2,176/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
