PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) | Summerville, Georgia

Qualifications:

• Current and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Stepdown and/or PCU environments
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with telemetry and continuous monitoring equipment
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive and continuous assessment and monitoring of patients in the Stepdown/PCU environment
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and standards of care
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition promptly, initiating appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and modify patient care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, procedures, and ongoing care
• Accurately document patient care, progress, and changes in electronic medical records
• Uphold infection control protocols and patient safety standards
