Qualifications:
- Active RN license with good standing
- At least one year of recent experience in a stepdown/telemetry/PCU or similar setting
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and using healthcare technology
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered care for individuals requiring close monitoring and specialized interventions in a stepdown unit
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, collaborating with physicians, case managers, and support staff
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform required procedures with a high level of accuracy
- Educate patients and families on recovery processes, medications, and ongoing care needs
- Document all care activities thoroughly and in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Participate in care team meetings and contribute to a supportive, high-quality work environment
