Stepdown Registered Nurse - Utica, New York

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with good standing
• At least one year of recent experience in a stepdown/telemetry/PCU or similar setting
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and using healthcare technology

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered care for individuals requiring close monitoring and specialized interventions in a stepdown unit
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, collaborating with physicians, case managers, and support staff
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform required procedures with a high level of accuracy
• Educate patients and families on recovery processes, medications, and ongoing care needs
• Document all care activities thoroughly and in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Participate in care team meetings and contribute to a supportive, high-quality work environment
